THE MAGIC FORMULA

Every breeder is looking for that magic formula to take to the racecourse. For that, we can offer ELLIPTIQUE. This ‘son of…’ performed at the highest level. In France, he won the Prix de Condé (Gr.3) and the Grand Prix de Vichy (Gr.3). In Germany, he did even better to take a Group 1 win. His sire line is a sequence of champions: Sadler’s Wells, Galileo, and New Approach, who sired the winner of the 2018 Epsom Derby with MASAR. On the dam’s side, he has an impressive page. From a Rothschild family, it is full of black type, beginning with his half-sister CICEROLE, a Listed winner, along with the Group winners AMERICA, AMERICAIN, MAJORIEN, ROSE INDIEN. Alongside these are the high class jumps winners, at Group level, including LE VAGABOND and SUPERB STORY. The magic formula concocted by ELLIPTIQUE doesn’t stop there. There is also his ability to handle any type of ground, his ability to perform from a mile to a mile a quarter, the longevity of his racing career, from 2 to 5 years old, and his black coat.

PEDIGREE NOTES

Son of Classic producing sire New Approach, from one of the deepest Rothschild families

Out of Kendor mare URYALE, who herself is producing black type form on the flat and over jumps, including CICEROLE, AFANDEM and LE VAGABOND

Trained by André Fabre, the son of New Approach won on debut at 2 and went on to win the Gr.3 Prix de Condé that year.

After his two year old year, he subsequently won the Gr.3 Grand Prix de Vichy, culminating his career with a scintillating win in the Gr.1 Grosser Dallmayr Preis.
